  • The Accuser of The Brethren

To understand who is “The Accuser of the Brethren”, we need to know why that is his name and what is his purpose for accusing the (spirit) children of GOD. (Revelation 12:10; Zechariah 3:1-2; Job 1 & 2).

The Accuser of the Brethren has many names; Satan/HaSatan, The Adversary, The Opposer, or The Enemy of Righteous. Satan was formerly known as Lucifer in heaven before his pride and his fall. (Revelation 12:7-9; Isaiah 14:12; Ezekiel 28:17-19).

Satan IS the enemy of all righteousness and those who seek to follow THE MOST HIGH GOD, Elohim/Yahuah! Although he is the spirit son of GOD, he is NOW the enemy of our heavenly Father. Just like anything or anyone that opposes HIS divine plan and righteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4; 1 John 3:7-8). Satan sought to be everything the Father was in the kingdom, liken himself to our heavenly Father. He vowed to be just like him and would destroy the world trying. (Isaiah 14:13-14; 2 Nephi 24:13-14).

Can you imagine this was once the favorite Cherub in heaven before his fall? (Ezekiel 28:13-16). Not only was Satan cast down, he took one third of ours, and his, spiritual brothers and sisters with him. He corrupted their mind to rally behind him to, overthrow the laws of heaven, and our Father. And we can see, according to scriptures how that went for him. He didn’t understand these laws have been established, since before creation, and will surpass all creation in Fathers kingdom. It is in our nature to question and think we know more than the Creator. Job was once an example. (Job 38-40)

But Satan isn’t alone in his quest for dominion, power and bringing all creation under his subjection. He has his fallen angels, his army, are those angels who were cast down with him. (Revelation 12:3-4). Satan has been creating a kingdom on earth for himself. With it he mimics heavenly things and corrupts the principles of it all. With this, we understand our fight is not against flesh and blood but the kingdom of darkness. (Ephesians 6:12; 2 Corinthians 10:4-6). But we are NOT alone in this fight.

Father is SO perfect and just, that HE will NEVER allow us to go at this alone. Nor will HE allow us to fail or be forsaken. (Deuteronomy 31:6 & 31:8; Hebrews 13:5). (REMEMBER, you have free will to receive HIS help or not). But if you have idols in your heart, HE will answer you according to the multitude of them. (Ezekiel 14:1-5). And HE will give you over to the desires of your heart just so you can see that you need HIS help. However, HE will be merciful to the repentant, and bless us with a new start because HE loves us so much.

And that’s the same love HE has for Satan but his pride won’t accept it. (Proverbs 8:13; 16:18). When Satan was cast down to the earth, Father gave it to him for his own kingdom. Satan also can use this gift of “free agency” since our Father is NO respecter of persons.

Father has given him an opportunity to be a “god” within his own right. (2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 2:2). A chance to understand the weight and responsibility of the things he wanted in Fathers kingdom. To not only be served but to serve and love as our Father serves and loves us. (Matthew 20:27-28; Mark 10:44-45). And this is why our Father is so good, perfect, and just.

EVERYTHING Father does is for the benefit, peace and joy of ALL HIS creation. But we; being weak, misguided and in this corruptible flesh; tend to think we know what’s best and what is good. And this prideful thinking is what leads all creation to groan and become oppressed. Especially when the few are hording the majority of resources we need to live a peaceable, sustainable, healthy and joyful life. This is wisdom in itself! Our Father will NOT suffer us to be under the power, dominion and control of Satan forever. (Galatians 5:1; Isaiah 61:1; Romans 8:21). We will not always be oppressed by those who choose to follow Satan and do his will.

However, Father did give Satan a short time to reign, to present his plan to us, before the Second Coming of Yashuah. (Revelation 12:12). We ALL know what that means, “Belt To Ass” for him (lol). And when Christ comes He will free us from bondage, slavery and sin. (Revelation 19:7; Ephesians 5:23). He will teach us, from scripture, how to live holy and righteous, so that we may dwell in our Fathers kingdom. (Ezekiel 37:16-24).

We will finally know what peace, love, joy, and happiness is. (Galatians 5:22-24). What it looks and feels like. Until then we must endure the hardships that will test our faith, resolve and obedience to Father. And we MUST remain vigilant and steadfast, prayer through and in ALL things. (Matthew 24:13; James 1:12).

Although Father has given him this kingdom where we all reside, he is still bound by the laws, commandments and powers of heaven. He CAN tempt us regarding earthly things and matters but the LORD gives a way to flee. (1 Corinthians 10:13; Genesis 4:6-7; Matthew 26:41). Spiritually, Satan has NO control, power, or dominion over our us! He CANNOT force us do his will. He can inspire thoughts and feelings that would entice our flesh to follow him and do his will. Whatever that may be.

We all have the gift of “Free Will/Free Agency” therefore we cannot not blame him for the sins WE commit! (John 15:22-25). With ALL temptation, the Lord gives us a way to flee from it so we may be found blameless in HIS sight. (Psalms 119:1; 2 Peter 3:14). If we rebel and disobey, then our sins become the weapons and tools of Satan. And so long as you remain in sin, he now has power, dominion, control and (legal authority) over you. (Isaiah 1:16-20; 1 Samuel 15:22-23).

By the laws of heaven, YOU ARE HIS! (John 8:44; Isaiah 59:2). He can now place his fallen angels, demons, within and around you. And he now has authority to keep them in your life so long as you remain in your sin, unrepentant, and NOT obedient to Christ. The names in the Lambs Book of Life are those who overcome and are saved. (1 John 5:4-5; John 16:33; Revelations 21:27). DON’T WAIT, COME UNDER THE BLOOD AND STAY OUT OF WILLFUL SIN! (Hebrews 10:26-31; James 4:7).

Now we have an understanding as to why he accuses us before Father. Hence his name “The Accuser of the Brethren”. He petitions, day and night, for the right to our souls, and life, always before our Father. Looking for a way he can come and have legal right to us, that we may be a part of his kingdom. This is why we are to stay aware and vigilant. (3 Nephi 18:18; Luke 22:31). Christ told Peter Satan’s intentions. He is that lion is roaring, going about seeking whom he can devour. (1 Peter 5:8).

Satan KNOWS his time is short and he is enraged. His pride will NOT allow him to repent to our Father so that he may be received again so his fate, like many others, are SEALED. WE have the opportunity that they will not accept, forgiveness after repentance. (1 John 1:9; Proverbs 28:13; Doctrines and Covenants 58:42-43)

Satan thinks his plan is what’s best and should be followed and so he tries to discredit us before the Father. In this, he’s hoping that our faith, love and obedience to/in HIM will fail, falter or fade. He doesn’t know, nor does he understand, that it is NOT by our might. In our weakness, the LORDS strength is made perfect! (2 Corinthians 12:9). Had he known this he would never kick against the plan of Abba. And because Father is NO respecter of persons and loves us all equally, HE suffers Satan, but HE confounds him in his own foolish thinking.

Take Job for example. He was a righteous man and followed the commands of the LORD from his youth up. For this, Father blessed and hedge him about. We know Satan is a deceiver. (2 Corinthians 11:14; Revelations 12:9-11). And unfortunately for him, he thought he could tempt or even outwit our Father, just for his plans to backfire. To go up against The Creator of all creation is destruction! (Moroni 7:12). HE already told us HE knows our hearts, ways and thoughts. And everything HE is far beyond what we are! Our puny minds can NEVER know HIM completely. (Isaiah 55:8-9; Jeremiah 17:9-10)

So, when Father allowed Satan to “tempt” Job it was doomed from the start. (Job 1:6-11). Father, who tells and knows the ending FROM THE BEGINNING, KNEW what Job would do. (Isaiah 46:10). And because of this Satan had to watch our Father bless Job more abundantly than ever before. (Job 42:12-17). Imagine the frustration and wrath he felt at that realization. He was destined to fail from the beginning but his pride blinded him from seeing that.

Another example is Abraham and Isaac. Now there are two accounts of how this took place. I’m sure you are well aware of the Bible’s, Abrahams version, but I’m going to use the Apocrypha’s, Isaacs version. (Here is the scriptural proof of both versions Jasher 2223).

Isaac was talking with Ishmael and he was bragging on “righteousness”. In response to Ishmael boasting of obeying the LORDS circumcision, Isaac said he’d lay down his life if the LORD required it. (Jasher 22:40-45). Before I continue here, I MUST stress, not everything is of Satan! (Jeremiah 17:10; Isaiah 5:20; Moroni 7: 15-19) Please don’t give him all this power he DOES NOT have.

Now, the LORD heard him and thought what he said was GOOD. And Father thought it good to test him in this thing so HE did. Father told Abraham that HE will require Isaac blood at his hand because it was pleasing to have him with HIM. Contrary to belief, this is an honorable thing, to be with the LORD. Look at Christ! (John 14:28).

As they go for Isaac to be given as a living sacrifice, Eliezer and Ishmael followed along. These were the servants referenced in the bible. (Genesis 22:3; Jasher 23:21). In the way, the two debated who the inheritance of Isaac would fall to, Eliezer the loyal servant or Ishmael the first born. Because he is the illegitimate/bastard child, he has no real claim to the inheritance.

Take a moment and think of the faith and love you have for our Father to be willing to do this, and with you own hand at that. Imagine the heart of Abraham as he was being sent to give up his covenanted and chosen son. (Jasher 23:17-19). And Isaacs heart whom has never left Sarah, his mom, side. Yet they both were strong and of good courage. (Jasher 23:50-57). Isaac was sure of this for the good of the LORD. (Jasher 23:61-63). And beloved Sarah, she was truly a warrior in this thing. He was her promised child from Abba by the mouth of the angel and even she saw this as a righteous thing. (Genesis 18:10-15; Jasher 23:79-82).

No one could have prepared themselves for what was to come next for them all. Imagine the joy, love, and compassion shown when they learned Abba had a sacrifice prepared from the beginning. Before the foundations of the world was laid. (Genesis 22:13; Jasher 23:72-73). This is the wisdom of our Father. We, with limited scope, see this as a gamble but the LORD doesn’t gamble. He tries our hearts knowing HIS overcoming and enduring spirit is within us all. And to kick up against HIS plan is to fail!

Before I forget to mention, all throughout this test Satan, the Adversary, was in the midst. And he was trying to bring doubt, fear, worry and all things that are contrary to the fruits of the Spirit of GOD. (Jasher 23:25-30; 23:72; 23:76-78; 23:86). He cannot help himself. He MUST cause mischief. And so he was adamant in taking Abraham and Isaac out of the way to diminish their faith. To make them doubt that the word they received was the Father. And also trying to cause Sarah to sin against the LORD.

Their faith in the LORD was not moved nor shaken.

I say this to say as, followers and believers in Christ, we have to know and understand the calling of which we were called. (2 Timothy 1:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:24) In the face of hurt, harm, danger and death we must not falter, fail nor fade in our faith. Will fear try to take hold on you? Yes! (Jasher 40:4-7; Psalms 34:4; Psalm 119:52; Isaiah 41:10).

Will you be saddened by what you may have to do or sacrifice/give up? Yes! But you MUST remember to trust in the LORD always. (Psalms 56:3-4; Proverbs 3:5-6; Isaiah 12:2; Psalms 118:8; Psalms 37:5). The reward at the end is MUCH greater then you could ever imagine or dream of. (James 1:12; Colossians 3:23-24; Matthew 16:27; 1 Peter 5:4).

The flesh is of this world so it cares for the things therein. (1 John 2:15-17; James 4:4). Your spirit is of the LORD and so it seeks and does the things pleasing to HIM. (Romans 8:9; 2 Corinthians 13:5). Abraham, Isaac and Sarah all cried through their refining fire. (Jasher 23:17-19). They were believers not robots. Isaac even told Abraham bind him tightly so he wouldn’t move. (Jsher 23:61-63).

This moved heaven so much also that an angel was before the LORD asking if HE would stop it and will he really allow him to do this act. (Jasher 23:66-68). NO ONE knows the way nor thoughts of the LORD but HIMSELF! Then the LORD HIMSELF stopped him and revealed to him the sacrifice HE had waiting to take Isaacs place instead, before the earth was laid. (Jasher 23:69-71; Isaiah 46:10).

We could never know nor search out the understanding or the ways of the LORD!

Some would like to think of this as an evil and wicked thing, that a GOD would or should do. How else will you know if you fear the LORD if you are not tested? (Jasher 23:69). Ask yourself, how many times have you “tested” the love someone has for you? Or even questioned or asked them to prove their words? HE tells us OFTEN that HE is a jealous but also merciful GOD, so why expect anything less. (Matthew 10:37-38; Matthew 19:28-30; Exodus 34:14; Deuteronomy 4:24).

When their love and faith in HIM was shown and proved did HE not reward them abundantly? Did HE not bless them so much that their tribulations couldn’t compare? How many times have you showed love and faith in people, places or things and you weren’t even rewarded for your faithfulness? Nor the least bit show of appreciation or love for being accountable and have morale? But your love and faithfulness were met with disrespect, inconsideration, and unfaithfulness? The LORD doesn’t reward the faithless and doubtful. (Revelation 21:6-8)

HE created us, NOT the other way around! Who are we to judge HIS actions when HE is good, just and perfect? I even recall in school after all we learned we HAD to take a test to see if we understood the material and where we were in the learning process. So why can’t OUR CREATOR test us? (Hebrews 12:5-11; Proverbs 3:11-12). We are NOTHING without HIM, dry bones, spiritually dead. We were created after HIS image, so we have those same characteristics and traits in us as well.

This world has taught us to hate all things that are good and that would make us like HIM. To keep us in this sedated and stagnated state so we NEVER come to the realization that we NEED HIM. And without HIM who requires us to change, grow and mature, we are walking in blindness/darkness and are allies to Satan. He now being our master and god through ignorance or willingly.

There are only two kingdoms you can be apart and if you are NOT with Father then you are with Satan! No matter what you believe or think, it’s irrelevant in the face of the truth. The sheep of Christ KNOWS His voice, any other they will NOT follow!
